A million dollar view

The views from your accommodation Bure

The bures and their private decks are all carefully positioned for absolute privacy, so you can’t even see your neighbors.  What better place to sip a pre-dinner cocktail and contemplate the sunset…

What previous guests have said about Matava ‘slumber’- as read on TripAdvisor:

My room was decked out in hard wood flooring, beautiful king size bed. Bathroom had lights. Plenty of hot water in the shower. Both were provided by solar power. The deck out front of my Bure gave me a breath taking view of the bay and the reef farther out. What a view!

The accommodation is of a high standard taking the form of traditional thatched Bures, but with the added luxury of polished wooden floors. In my bure there was a Double bed (with mosquito net), ensuite toliet/shower room with hot water, wardrobe, table and chairs, in-room electric safe and large balcony / deck. Eco-resort or not I was very impressed. What’s more impressive is that the resort produces most of its electricity via solar power and water is sourced from its own spring.

If you are after noise, nightlife, bright lights and a 5 star hotel this is not for you. However if its peace and tranquility with amazing views, crystal clear water where you can sit back and have a quiet drink and chat with fellow travellers you will not be disappointed. The only bad thing is that you eventually have to leave and come home.
